Practice Makes Perfect

Boy...do I hope so!! We are having a week of practice, practice, game, practice!

• Grandma Debby was in town with the kids yesterday. They were excited to see her and Liam got to play baseball with her in the stands for a second time this year! Unfortunately, he had a bad game! It was nice to have her here for the day...thanks Mom!
• Maggie had her first practice tonight in what seems like ages! It was a really long 4th of July ball break for her and Liam! They have not gotten rusty though...Jon and all three kids are out in the yard throwing that ball around constantly! She was happy to be back tonight and wants everyone to know that when they ran to the tree and back at the end of practice she finished FIRST!!
• Liam has lost 2 games in a row after a 2 week break for their team...they're like Ohio State apparently, having a bye week (or two) is catastrophic! Liam, as I already said, had a bad game last night...but tonight he was ON and in 5 at bats had a triple, a double and 3 singles...yeah baby, batting 1000!!!
• Sam has had practice EVERY night since Sunday and has practice again tomorrow. We're not sure about Friday yet, but I'd be surprised if they didn't! We found out tonight that they are in first place in their league and they play their first tournament game Saturday @ 3pm! I am SUPER excited! This is the first time since coach pitch that he's been on such a promising team. Hopefully, they'll go ALL THE WAY!!!!
• I spent a very productive day today puttering outside. Cutting some grass, planting some lettuce and spinach (kind of late for that, so not sure how it will do?) and basically cleaning up the yard. It should stay cleaned up for roughly 12 hours...the kids will destroy it first thing tomorrow I'm sure!
