Family Field Trip ~ Wright Patt AF Museum

Sunday, we had a graduation party to attend in Springfield for our nephew Patrick...Congrats Patrick! Jon and the kids were all dreading the long drive...in an effort to lighten the mood I suggested that we make a day trip of it and take the kids to the Air Force Museum in Dayton when we were done at the party. Sam had been there before, but Liam and Maggie never had and Jon loves it ... that idea was a BIG HIT!
Here's Mag's at the old wind tunnel..."Helloooo..." she says.

Sam definitely was more interested this time than he was last time we took him (when he was like 3 years old, lol). He did a lot of reading and seemed to have a more intellectual interest in the planes/history.

Liam loved it too, but his interest was naturally still pretty superficial.
Maggie only seemed to be happy when I was taking pics of her alone...everytime I asked her to pose with her brothers she got sulky. She's such a drama princess!

She decided about half way through that she was too tired to walk...
do you see the look on her face? That's her "I win" look!

This pic is a perfect representation of their level of interest and interaction yesterday. Liam thought everything was "COOL"! It's nice to see Sam maturing into genuine interest.

Before we left we drove over to see the planes they had outside. I seem to recall that when I was little, you could get on a couple of the planes and look around? Do I recall that wrong? There was no such thing yesterday, at least none that we found...Granted, we were only there for about an hour and a half and there was A LOT we didn't have time to see!!

But, it was fun anyway, and was a GREAT photo opp for the blog, eh?

Our schedule this week is reall iffy...we have are supposed to have games Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 2 Saturday...but it is storming outside now and is supposed to continue for the next couple days...so we'll see!
I love you and miss you all!!
